Serie A continues to cram games in before the World Cup break and these Cremonese vs. Milan predictions show that things are not about to get any easier for the struggling hosts.

Cremonese vs. Milan odds

1 – Milan to win – 1/2

2 – Over 2.5 goals scored – 8/11

3 – Milan to win to nil – 13/8

4 – Ante Rebić to score at any time  – 6/4

5 – Milan to win and over 2.5 goals scored – 6/5

The break for the World Cup cannot come quickly enough for Massimiliano Alvini and his Cremonese players. The club have stuck by their manager so far, even though results have been poor from the very start, but something needs to change soon.

There have been some better performances lately from the Grigiorossi. But the points have not been forthcoming and now they face champions Milan before a final trip away to Empoli before the Serie A season is halted until the New Year.

There is little in the way of morale-boosting stats to predict Cremonese will get anything from this one either. It looks like being a long and gruelling campaign for the club – and Milan should not give the home side a chance on Tuesday.

Stefano Pioli will be far happier with how his side have got on in the early months of the season. There has been an upturn in the league, where the Rossoneri have kept up with Napoli and Atalanta at the top – and the Champions League campaign is going well too.

There will be concerns over the performances of Rafael Leão, who was heavily linked with a move away from the San Siro in the summer and has not been at his best. But others, like Ante Rebić, have shown that they can be relied on – and the Croatian is a good option for an any time scorer here.

Milan should dominate this game from the start and could rack up a few goals if Cremonese don’t shut them down early on. That’s why any combination bet involving a Rossoneri win, goals, or a clean sheet should definitely be considered.

Cremonese team news

Massimilano Alvini will have to do without the injured Cyriel Dessers up front, so Daniel Ciofani should come in to replace him. Although Felix Afena-Gyan will fancy his chances too. Other than that, the Grigiorossi starting XI should stay much the same as usual.

Milan team news

Stefano Pioli is still contending with an extensive injury list but will be pleased to see that some of his first choice players have returned in the last week or so. Olivier Giroud has earned himself a new contract at the club but may be given a rest here, with Divock Origi afforded the chance to increase his goal tally against a struggling Cremonese.
