The Rossoblu look to arrest a poor spell of form and these Cremonese vs. Bologna predictions suggest that the away side could come away with a positive result. Thiago Motta’s side are without a win in six games but are favourites ahead of the clash with relegation-threatened Grigiorossi.

Cremonese vs. Bologna odds

1 – Bologna to win – 7/5

2 – Marko Arnautovic to score anytime – 15/8

3 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 13/15

4 – One team to score – 23/20

5 – A draw at full-time – 37/15

Cremonese look to make a late dash for Serie A safety as they host Bologna at the Stadio Giovanni Zini this weekend. The Grigiorossi are six points adrift from 17th place with just three games remaining, meaning that failure to win on Saturday could well see them relegated.

Bologna go into the clash on their longest winless run of the season. Bizarrely for Thiago Motta’s side, they have put in solid performances to secure draws against the likes of Juventus, Milan and Roma in recent weeks but have come unstuck against Verona and Empoli.

This could provide hope for Cremonese fans, as will Bologna’s poor goalscoring form of recent weeks that has seen them score just one from open play in their last four games. Conversely, the hosts have been solid defensively over the past few months, with last weekend’s defeat to Juventus the first time that Ballardini’s side has conceded more than two goals in their last five games.

Given the two teams’ respective form, another low-scoring match could be on the cards on Saturday, with a wager on under 2.5 goals scored looking good. The sides have only faced each other three times and on two occasions this bet would have paid off.

Looking at past fixtures, a draw could well be the most likely outcome. All three clashes between the sides have ended in a draw, while four of Bologna’s last six games have ended in a tie. Given the visitors’ poor goalscoring form, should the hosts look to drop deep as they did against Juventus, Saturday’s game could well be goalless.

Thiago Motta’s primary goalscoring hope may come in the shape of Marko Arnautovic. The forward made his first start in over four months last weekend but remains Bologna’s second top-scorer. Despite most likely being on his way out of the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara this summer, he remains their most prolific forward by some distance.

Arnautovic is our favourite to score anytime this weekend and, should he do so, Bologna possess the defensive prowess to turn a narrow lead into a win.

Cremonese team news

Davide Ballardini is expected to revert to a more conventional line-up after fielding a back five against Juventus. Daniel Ciofani should slot back into a front two alongside David Okereke, with Cyril Dessers an injury doubt. Charles Pickel returns from suspension and may reclaim his spot in central midfield.

Bologna team news

Bologna’s injury crisis continues with Roberto Soriano, Nicola Sansone, Adama Soumaoro, Giorgios Kyriakopoulos and Nicola Bagnolini all sidelined. Thiago Motta should be able to welcome Stefan Posch back from suspension, although he faces stiff competition from Joaquin Sosa.
