Alessio Cragno looks to have avoided a serious shoulder injury after Cagliari confirmed the goalkeeper only suffered bruising.
Cragno was forced off just 39 minutes into Cagliari’s 2-2 draw with Fenerbahce on Wednesday, and it was initially feared he had dislocated his shoulder.
The Rossoblu have since confirmed that he only sustained bruising, although they added in a statement more tests were needed.
It now remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old will be fit in time for the Sardinians’ Serie A opener against Brescia on August 25.
