The vast majority of those positive for COVID-19 are self-isolating at home with minor symptoms: 83,619.
Since the start of the crisis, 27,359 people have died in Italy after contracting the virus, but 68,941 have made a full recovery and been given the all-clear.
There are currently 102,205 people in the country who are positive for coronavirus, out of 201,505 who tested positive overall.
Lombardy remains the epicentre, as there are 35,744 people currently suffering from the illness in that region, compared to 15,506 in Piedmont.
