There were eight deaths related to coronavirus over the last 24 hours, the lowest figure since the start of the pandemic, and takes the total to 34,716.

Only 175 new positive tests were registered from 61,315 swabs.

There were eight deaths related to coronavirus over the last 24 hours, the lowest figure since the start of the pandemic, and takes the total to 34,716.

Only 175 new positive tests were registered from 61,315 swabs.

The number of patients remaining in intensive care dropped to 97, as another eight were released.

A further 969 were given the all-clear, so only 16,836 remain positive for COVID-19, the vast majority of those self-isolating at home with minor symptoms.
