There were another 26 coronavirus deaths in Italy on Monday – the lowest 24-hour increase since February 28.

Piemonte and Veneto, two of the worst-hit regions in the country, have recorded no new deaths.

The virus is also becoming increasingly concentrated, with Lombardy accounting for 85 percent of new cases.

As of Monday, there have been 237,290 positive tests of COVID-19 (+301), with 25,909 of them currently active (-365).

A total of 177,010 people have recovered (+630) and 34,371 have died.

A total of 177,010 people have recovered (+630) and 34,371 have died.

Out of the 25,909 active cases, 22,213 are in self-isolation (-258), 3,489 are in hospital with symptoms (-105) and 207 are in intensive care (-2).

There have now been 4,648,825 tests, an increase of 28,107 since yesterday.
