Antonio Conte was insistent that Tottenham sign Ivan Perisic and now that the Italian coach has left, the Croat could also leave North London, reports suggest.

The 34-year-old initially didn’t see eye to eye with Conte, leaving for Bayern Munich on loan during the Italian coach’s first season in Lombardy, but after his return a spark appeared between the pair and Perisic proved a deadly wing back in the 3-5-2 system.

When Perisic’s contract expired with Inter in July 2022, it didn’t take him long to decide to join back up with Conte at Tottenham, where he’s shown flashes of his true quality in a difficult campaign.

La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how Perisic could look to leave Tottenham in the summer to join Conte at his next club, which could realistically be Inter, who are considering dismissing Simone Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri clearly miss Perisic. Whilst Federico Dimarco looked exciting in the first half of the season, he’s fallen more quiet in recent weeks and a player of Perisic’s quality and experience could be exactly what Inter need as they look to return to the Scudetto race.
