Could Isco end up in Serie A after Sevilla exit?

Isco is now a free agent after terminating his contract with Sevilla and he could make the jump to Serie A after various links in recent months.

The 30-year-old Spaniard left Real Madrid in a free transfer in the summer and joined up with Sevilla, keen to work with Julen Lopetegui. The 56-year-old coach left in Andalusian club in October and later replaced Bruno Lage at Wolves, leaving Isco tied to Sevilla.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Isco has now agreed a contract termination with Sevilla, making him a free agent. He has been heavily linked with a move to Wolves, understandable considering his relationship with Lopetegui, but he could also make the move to Serie A.

Roma made a serious attempt to sign the 30-year-old in the summer and could return to the charge now, keen to reinforce Jose Mourinho’s squad in the fight for a top four finish.

Fiorentina have made an enquiry but the lack of space in their squad makes a move to Florence unlikely, unless they manage to shift some unneeded players in January.

Milan and Juventus have both long been keen on Isco but may not launch an attempt soon, with the former now working with Charles De Ketelaere and the latter not using a system that would allow the Spaniard to shine.

An interested club would also need to pay up, with Isco wanting a noticeable raise on his recent €1m net per season salary.
