Lecce Coach Serse Cosmi was sent off for dissent, but doubled down by claiming referee Carmine Russo “proved he’s not good enough for Serie A.”

The fiery tactician was sent to the stands during the first half of a 2-2 draw with Genoa at the Stadio Via del Mare when he complained Juraj Kucka should’ve received a second yellow card.

“Russo proved he’s not good enough for Serie A. I find it laughable when people say technology ought to be introduced to resolve dubious issues.

“I think it’d be better to just not make mistakes when things are entirely obvious. Today, not sending off Kucka counts among one of the more absurd decisions.”
