José Mourinho is enjoying Rome and Il Corriere dello Sport highlights how Roma ultras are backing the Special One despite the team’s highs and lows.

The Giallorossi sit sixth in the Serie A table with 28 points, eight behind fourth-placed Napoli.

Mourinho’s side collected nine victories, one draw and seven defeats so far this season, but despite the Giallorossi’s inconsistent form, Roma ultras back their coach.

Three days ago, they unveiled a banner outside Trigoria: ‘With Mourinho until hell freezes over’ and the Stadio Olimpico was sold out for six Serie A games out of nine this season.

Mourinho is also enjoying the environment in the capital.

Yesterday, he posted a picture from St. Peter’s Square as if he was an average tourist and, according to the report, the Portuguese loves hanging around the streets of Rome.

He often eats at restaurants without booking private rooms and often talks to fans in the street, signing autographs for them.

He loves the city, its atmosphere and the love of fans who he tries to meet anytime he can.

However, he is aware that Roma’s result on the pitch must improve. Their target is to achieve a top-four finish and Mourinho wants his players to be totally focused on the pitch, so much so he decided to cancel the Christmas party that was supposed to take place yesterday.

On Sunday, Roma host Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico and Mourinho is aware he can’t afford to lose to keep his Champions League qualification hopes alive.
