Joaquin Correa played some minutes towards the end of the 1-1 draw between Lazio and Sassuolo, but the club is reportedly working to reach an agreement with Inter.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports Correa is close to leaving the Olimpico, as he only played 12 minutes towards the end of the last test against the Neroverdi.

Lazio start the season against Empoli next weekend and Correa’s farewell seems to be taken for granted at the Aquile.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is working to reunite with the forward and Correa is reportedly the main alternative to Duvan Zapata of Atalanta.

Lazio patron Claudio Lotito asks for at least €40m, according to the newspaper, amid reports of interest from the Premier League too, and Inter are currently prepared to offer €30m.

Lazio need to cash in on his departure and Inter could take advantage of the situation, while Sarri must look for a possible replacement.
