Joaquin Correa remains determined to join Simone Inzaghi at Inter, so the Lazio striker will keep Everton waiting until the last minute.

Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà continues to insist Tucu Correa has his heart set on reuniting with the former Lazio coach at San Siro this summer.

The negotiations have been going on for weeks, but Inter refused to meet the €35m asking price.

Now that has been lowered and Everton are hoping to get the deal done for just over €30m including bonuses.

However, Correa reiterated via his agent that he will wait for the Serie A reigning champions for as long as he possibly can.

Inter are also in talks with Borussia Monchengladbach for Marcus Thuram, offering €25m plus bonuses, so if that deal goes through, then Correa can relinquish his request and accept Everton.

The 27-year-old Argentina international will not participate in today’s Serie A opener against Empoli, as Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri confessed he is “not in the right mindset” to play amid the transfer speculation.

Last season, Correa scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 38 competitive games for the Aquile.

  1. Inter should sign Correa or Thuram ASAP.
And get rid off Vidal and Sanchez somehow. Vidal was not existing last season, Sanchez was only good a couple of games, not too good considering his huge wage.
