For the 59th day in a row, the number of intensive care patients fell, this time by 55, leaving just 353.

There are now 5,742 patients in hospital, with 33,202 self-isolating at home with minor symptoms.

Another 846 people were given the all-clear, so the number of current active cases fell by 596 to 39,297.

Only Lombardy (187) and Piedmont (57) registered at least 20 new positive tests over the last 24 hours, with nine regions on zero new cases.

There were zero deaths in 11 regions since yesterday.

This all means the Rt number for Italy is 0.59, but in Lombardy that is 0.71.
