Eugenio Corini has warned Brescia’s relegation rivals that they are “ready to fight” for Serie A survival ahead of facing Lecce tomorrow.

Corini marked his return to the Brescia dugout last weekend with a 1-0 win against SPAL, and the coach wants to see more of the same from his side.

“The team are doing well, we’re ready to fight against relegation,” he said at a press conference.

“Yesterday’s training was different, we worked more on video. Today we conditioned ourselves well.

“For me, all the remaining games are ‘games of our lives’. I want to see the same team who played in Ferrara.”

The Rondinelle lost all three of their games under Fabio Grosso, prior to the former Palermo midfielder taking back the reins.

“The mental aspect of the team counts for a lot. We have changed the inertia, which had become a negative thing.

“We need to remain calm but also be angry. We must have the desire to win any game.”

Lecce, meanwhile, have been collecting points without winning games, and Corini is wary of the threat posed by their fellow new boys.

“They are a team who play good football and has good quality. They make good use of the ball and have shown that they can play well at this level.”
