The Rondinelli had such a strong start against the Champions of Italy, taking the lead within four minutes through Alfredo Donnarumma’s ferocious strike, but a Chancellor own goal and Miralem Pjanic volley turned it around.

It was yet another disappointing night for Brescia after going in front, as they do have a tendency to fumble advantages.

“When you play against such a strong, quality side, it’s always going to be difficult. We tried to play our football when we had the ball, but Juve have this ability to play even in tight spaces.

“We did well, conceding only on a corner and after a free kick. Considering how the overall match developed, I felt we deserved something more.”

Balotelli made his debut after the four-match ban left over from Ligue 1 finally expired.

“Mario arrived with the right motivation, he is working hard and is an extraordinary player, so I am sure he’ll give us a big hand this season.

“Being at home, close to his Mother, family and friends is helping him to focus on his life more. He seems very relaxed, fully involved in the team and I try to motivate him daily to give him more, as his abilities are unlimited. I realise I’m a pain for him, but I keep pushing him because I can’t be content with just a fine performance.”

Tonali continues to impress in midfield and played with Italy Coach Roberto Mancini in the stands.

“He has technique, quality, physicality and the mentality of a great player. Sandro is extraordinary and it’s remarkable to see the way he handles all this pressure, has the desire to push himself beyond his boundaries.

“He’s got the DNA of a great player and he can help Brescia stay in Serie A while we help him become a great player.”
