Dinamo Zagreb star Ante Coric confirmed he was “not even called up” for tonight’s Champions League game with Juventus after a reported row.

The 19-year-old creative midfielder is their top player now after a summer of sales, but won’t feature this evening.

“In life we all dream, aspire to make our dreams come true,” wrote Coric on Instagram.

“My life, my dream is football – I devote every part of my life to it! I am well aware that professionalism, training and hard work are part of it and that makes me happy.

“I know that I’m a public figure and a professional, perhaps a model for many boys who also dream of one day becoming footballers, but I must admit that dreaming right now is difficult for me.

“I’m sorry that I will not be able to run out into a packed Maksimir stadium. I have been waiting for this moment since I came to the club.

“It’s hard when you know that you’re not even called up for the game, but my heart remains with my Dinamo and the boys until the end!

“Guys, I want a good game with heart and I’ll wait for that day to play at a packed Maksimir with this Dinamo!”

There are reports of a row with caretaker Coach Zeljko Sopic, but it’s a huge blow for Dinamo regardless.
