Ante Coric has arrived in Italy to undergo his Roma medical and complete the transfer from Dinamo Zagreb for €7m plus bonuses.
The 21-year-old midfielder already has three senior caps to his name and had in the past been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Coric was photographed at Fiumicino Airport in Rome this afternoon on a Croatia Airlines flight from Zagreb, via Split.
He was accompanied by his father and his attorney and will meet with Roma director Monchi this weekend to finalise the transfer.
