A long ball forward found Matri, but after bringing it down he couldn’t beat goalkeeper Matteo Pisseri.

The 27-year-old could only push the strike right though, and Locatelli steamed in to stroke the ball into the net.

Sassuolo will now face Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo in the next round.
