The Old Lady had won the reverse fixture in Milan 2-1 last week.

Andrea Pirlo rested Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, while Alvaro Morata started on the bench after contracting stomach flu and Arthur was ruled out with flu. Antonio Conte was without the suspended Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal with Christian Eriksen who replaced the Chilean midfielder.

It was a vibrant first half since the very early stages even if both sides failed to produce goal scoring opportunities in the opening 15 minutes despite trying to press high up the pitch.

Alex Sandro picked up a yellow card for a foul on Achraf Hakimi and will miss the final. The Nerazzurri came close to scoring from the resulting free kick, but Romelu Lukaku missed a well-executed cross of Eriksen from the right.

Lautaro Martinez had another good chance, but misfired from good position and with Gigi Buffon already laying.

Christian Eriksen tried to break the deadlock with a shot from the edge of the box that was blocked by Demiral.

Cristiano Ronaldo had three opportunities too, but Stefan de Vrij and Matteo Darmian blocked one shot each and Samir Handanovic denied CR7 on his second attempt.

Conte threw in Ivan Perisic for Matteo Darmian in the second half with Inter that pushed forward and Juventus always trying to build the attacking action from the back. Cristiano Ronaldo’s shot after a smooth counter attack was wide.

The Portuguese had the best opportunities of the game, but failed to make the most of a McKennie through ball with Handanovic who saved at the near post. The goalkeeper once again denied CR7 after he had dribbled past Skriniar and Barella.

Perisic set up Sensi, the shoot took a huge deflection and went wide of the near post.

Inter pushed Juventus inside their own penalty area but struggled to find a way through with Pirlo who put in an extra defender in Giorgio Chiellini.

The Bianconeri will meet Atalanta or Napoli who meet tomorrow at the Gewiss Stadium after a 0-0 stalemate at the Stadio Maradona last week.
