They were also meant to meet in Serie A on March 17, only for the match to be called off following director Joe Barone’s fatal heart attack.
Fiorentina won just one of their last six Serie A games and are coming off a 2-1 home defeat to Milan.
Giacomo Bonaventura was suspended for that fixture with Nico Gonzalez and Arthur not fully fit, while Lucas Martinez-Quarta is carrying a knock.
Atalanta have lost defender Giorgio Scalvini for a month with a calf strain, while Charles De Ketelaere is also on the treatment table.
The positive news for Gian Piero Gasperini is that Koopmeiners is ready to start again after a muscular problem on international duty.
Gasperini himself sits in the stands due to a touchline ban, so assistant Tullio Gritti is on the bench.
