Roma will be hoping for a comfortable path to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals as they face off against Serie B side Genoa.

The match between the Giallorossi and the Rossoblu kicks off at 20.00 UK time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Roma and Jose Mourinho will be hoping for a positive campaign in the Coppa Italia, having last reached the final in the 2012-13 season, when they lost to bitter rivals Lazio. The Giallorossi’s last win in the competition came back in the 2007-08 campaign, when they beat Inter 2-1 in the final.

Mourinho will have to do without Ebrima Darboe and Gini Wijnaldum, who are both injured, and Rick Karsdorp.

Genoa have not reached the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia since the 1991-92 season, when they lost to Parma over two legs. They’ve reached the final twice before, winning in the 1936-37 season and losing to Fiorentina in the 1939-40 campaign.
