Juventus have confirmed three of the starting XI for the Coppa Italia Final, while Inter have doubts in attack and defence.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Wednesday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

The trophy will be assigned after 90 minutes, or if the scores are level going through extra time and perhaps even penalties.

During his press conference, Juve coach Max Allegri confirmed that Mattia Perin would start in goal, as he has done throughout the competition, with Giorgio Chiellini and Paulo Dybala also in the XI.

Manuel Locatelli, Danilo and Luca Pellegrini are available again after recovering from injury, but Mattia De Sciglio is suspended.

Long-term absentees Weston McKennie, Federico Chiesa and Kaio Jorge have made the trip to Rome anyway to be part of the event.

Juan Cuadrado and Federico Bernardeschi are expected to take the wide roles with Denis Zakaria and Adrien Rabiot in the middle, supporting Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic.

It remains to be seen whether this is a 4-4-2 or a 3-5-2, as it includes players who can adapt to various roles.

Inter have almost a full squad at their disposal, as Matias Vecino pulled out in training, while Alessandro Bastoni needs a fitness test, as he has been out for several weeks.

Unlike Juve, the Nerazzurri have kept using Samir Handanovic for all but one of their Coppa Italia matches this season.

The only real concerns are upfront, although Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez ought to be the front pairing, with Alexis Sanchez and Joaquin Correa ready to come off the bench.

Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Lautaro Martinez, Dzeko

Juventus (4-4-2): Perin; Danilo, De Ligt, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Cuadrado, Zakaria, Rabiot, Bernardeschi; Dybala, Vlahovic

  1. All-Inter, that’s just childish shouting. Have you seen the probable line-ups or ever thoroughly watched a game understanding tactics?

  2. CALMA, why are Inter fans worried about this. 2 things, PhD Max has and will always deploy a predictable game plan. Slow to start a game, get punished, no reaction and more back, back, down, down for 85 minutes. Finally panic hoofing with 5 mins left to play. Plus Beppe Marotta will make sure VAR works correctly. Not an Inter hater or Juve one for that matter only disdain for PhD’s Medieval Ball.

  3. Hmm juve only starting with 2 cms might weaken their central midfield area as Inter use 3 in the middle, so obviously Cuadrado and/or Bernardeschi will need to defend at times, could be a bit unbalanced, juve. More in favour of attack than defence. Yo Azzkikr what up? You really never liked any Inter coach ever hehe.

  4. Rabiot and Zakaria are too similar to be the only two CMs on the pitch. This is the problem from the last two years with Benta and Rabiot on the field together.

(Unfortunately) I feel Arthur needs to be out there with one of them if we’re only playing 2 CMs.

  5. Another Trophy for the toothless Inter , Just because Allegri tends to defend in every final possible.
Go win with Rabiot , Sandro and Berna if you can.

  6. Total of 5 Italian players @ Juventus & InterMilan!!! for an important game the Coppa Italia!!! what a shame, a big one seriously. why the total ignorance for italian players? Allegri & Inzaghi both enemies to italian football.

  7. Jimbo the ,aster of tactics
I believe Darmian would be a better option not as I like his face. Dumfries has been a little off form recently and Darmian had a great match against Milan in coppa. Darmian has better defensive ability and dumfries would be a better option for 2nd half when others are a little exhausted. I have other reasons too. And predicting a lineup isn’t according to tactics and it is based on players’ form.
