The preliminary round of the Coppa Italia has been completed, with Cesena, Avellino, Mantova and Carrarese progressing to the first round proper.
The 2024-25 season has already begun in Italy with this tournament and the Serie C sides faced off for a place in the main competition.
Carrarese beat Catania 2-1 and go on to face Cagliari, while Mantova earned a 2-1 victory away to Torres.
Cesena swept Padova aside 3-1 and Avellino beat Juve Stabia by the same result.
The first round kicks off on Friday August 9 and continues until Monday August 12.
These are all one-off matches, to be decided on the night after 90 minutes or a penalty shoot-out.
