Napoli are ready for their first competitive outing under Antonio Conte, facing Modena in the first round of the Coppa Italia.

The match between the Partenopei and the Canarini kicks off at 20:15 UK time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples.

It’s been a fairly positive summer for Conte and Napoli, who’ve won all but one of their pre-season friendlies, only losing to Girona 2-0. Their transfer market work has been a little muted due to the Victor Osimhen situation, but reinforcements have arrived.

The Partenopei are expected to give new signing Alessandro Buongiorno his first competitive start for the club and Osimhen is unlikely to feature as he waits for a high-profile transfer away.

The Coppa Italia first round clash gives Conte an early opportunity to have a look at his team in action ahead of the Serie A season, which kicks off next week. Their opening match is away to Hellas Verona on August 18th.
