The Lega has announced the first-round draw of the Coppa Italia, with 12 Serie A teams involved.

The matches will be staged between August 13 and 16, as the new Coppa Italia format gets underway.

Serie C clubs were allowed into the preliminaries and the remaining qualifying games to determine the complete fixture list will be played on August 7 and 8.

Ternana face Avellino on August 8, fighting for a place against Bologna, with Como and Catanzaro playing to book a place in the first round against Hellas Verona.

Perugia and Sudtirol are battling to secure a date with Genoa.
