The Coppa Italia Final between Atalanta and Juventus on May 19 will have up to 20 per cent capacity crowd in the stadium.

It will be held at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia, usually the home of Sassuolo.

Considering the size of the arena, this would be circa 4,700 fans allowed in.

The news was confirmed by Undersecretary for Health Andrea Costa following a request from the FIGC to anticipate the June 1 opening up of sporting events for this special occasion.

“The CTS is studying the protocol to allow fans to reach the stadium and attend the event in safety, while fully respecting the anti-COVID norms.”

The CTS is the Technical Scientific Committee, which refused an earlier request to allow fans into stadiums from May 1.

Italy had to commit to at least 25 per cent capacity for the Stadio Olimpico in Rome from June 11 in order to keep their four Euro 2020 fixtures.
