Rudi Garcia’s lucrative contract could reportedly ensure he isn’t sacked despite Roma’s poor start to the season.

It was reported yesterday that the Giallorossi are considering a swoop for Carlo Ancelotti if results in the next three matches against Carpi, BATE Borisov and Palermo don’t improve.

However, Il Messaggero writes today that the Frenchman’s sacking remains unlikely due to the high costs it would require from the capital club.

Garcia is due to earn around €17m before his current deal expires on 30 June 2018, an obstacle which the paper believes could calm President James Pallotta’s anger at recent results.
