Ismael Bennacer’s entourage is reportedly in talks with Milan’s management regarding a possible contract renewal.
The 24-year-old Algerian was a regular feature in Stefano Pioli’s midfield in the Lombardy capital last season and with his current deal set to expire in 2024, it’s clear that a new deal needs to be ironed out if the Italian coach is going to keep his man.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bennacer’s entourage has been negotiating with Milan’s management regarding a renewal for a little while now and an agreement isn’t too far away. The Algerian midfielder will be given a long-term deal and a slight wage bump to reflect his importance to the club.
Last season, Bennacer made 40 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 2100 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals and provided one assist, playing an important role with his progressive passing and dribbling play, as well as his defensive contributions.
