Antonio Conte’s friend Roberto Sorrentino confirms the Italian tactician has held talks with Napoli and reveals he spoke about Milan with the former Juventus and Inter coach.

Conte was spotted at the Stadio Grande Torino on Sunday, watching Napoli’s 3-0 loss against the Granata.

Sorrentino, father of former Serie A goalkeeper Stefano, watched the game alongside Conte.

“We certainly spoke about Napoli because I see him every year. We are friends as we spent four years at Juventus,” he told Club Napoli All News on Teleclub Italia, as quoted by TMW.

“A club like Napoli is surely important, and from what I’ve understood, there have been some contacts, even if there is a gap between the situation he’s accustomed to and what’s going on at Castel Volturno.”

When asked if they also spoke about Milan, Sorrentino replied: “Yeah, I’d say so.”

Milan are reportedly willing to part company with Stefano Pioli at the end of the season even if the Italian tactician’s contract runs out in June 2025.

Conte has been without a club since leaving Tottenham by mutual agreement in 2023 and has emerged as the favourite candidate for Milan fans to replace Pioli.

The former Juventus and Inter tactician has won four Scudetti as a coach, three in Turin and one in Milan, plus one Premier League title while in charge of Chelsea.
