Ciro Ferrara has congratulated budding tactician Antonio Conte for reviving the fortunes of Italian giants Juventus.

Conte was appointed as Juve boss in the summer and, after two seventh placed finishes in Serie A, the Old Lady are currently joint-top of the standings with Milan.

“What Conte has done in his short career is in full view of everyone,” the Italian Under-21 boss commented.

“He has won two promotions to Serie A [with Bari and Siena] and he has made an impression with his desire, commitment and determination.

“He is confirming himself with Juventus and I’m happy. The Bianconeri have returned to the levels that they should be competing at.”

Ferrara, a former playing colleague of Conte in Turin, was handed the Juventus job himself on a permanent basis in the summer of 2009.

However, he was replaced in January 2010 after losing three games in a row to Chievo, Roma and Inter in the Italian Cup.

Conte has yet to lose during his 17 official games in charge of Juve. His side have won 10 and drawn seven, scoring 29 and conceding 12.
