Antonio Conte has received the AIC award for Best Coach of the 2020-2021 season following Inter’s title winning campaign.

The Nerazzurri picked up their first Scudetto in a decade last season after finishing top of the table with 91 points, having won 28 of their 38 league outings. They were 12 points clear of second place Milan and it was a landmark moment in modern Italian football, finally breaking Juventus’ decade of domestic dominance.

Writing on his Instagram page, Conte discussed the honour associated with the award and his happiness at receiving it.

“Honoured to have received the AIC award for best coach of the 2020/2021 season. A special thanks to the players, coaches and referees who voted for me.

“This award represents the crowning of an important year full of emotions that brought us to win the Italian championship shield with Inter. I want to share this award with the players, the staff and all the people who supported us in reaching this prestigious goal. Thank you!”

Conte took over as Inter coach in May 2019, taking over from Luciano Spalletti. He oversaw 102 matches in total, averaging 2.11 points per match. He left in May last year after the club failed to guarantee that his star players would remain.

The Italian coach took over as Tottenham coach in November last year and he is contracted to the North London side until June 2023. It has not been simple for Conte, but it’s clear that he has winning ambitions, making the upcoming summer transfer window a key moment in his career with the North London side.

  1. Interisti thanking a Juventino for making them winners for a year. Priceless. The only scudetto not made of cardboard that Inter won in the last 15 years.

  2. Well at least we know how to thank a person that’s important to us and won titles with us
compared to you ungrateful fans then remember you took him also from another team in his playing days so what’s the matter and where doe’s it hurt? Doe’s it mean you and your team have patent of which team he decides to join seriously we all know that you guy’s own the referees but that doesn’t mean you own the players and the coaches after they leave what’s next for you is we gonna steal dybala from you hope’s that’s gonna hurt
You’re finished just realize your time is over
and you never win the CL because you can’t get any help there the only way you win in serie a is because you getting helped by the referees
