Conte wants Lichtsteiner at Chelsea

Antonio Conte reportedly wants to reunite with Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner at Chelsea, possibly in exchange for Branislav Ivanovic.

The Swiss defender was a key part of the Bianconeri side which won three consecutive Scudetti under Conte, as well as Max Allegri’s team which won two further titles.

However, the arrival of Dani Alves has seen Lichtsteiner’s playing time limited in the current season and he is not even on the squad list for the Champions League.

However, the arrival of Dani Alves has seen Lichtsteiner’s playing time limited in the current season and he is not even on the squad list for the Champions League.

Therefore, calciomercato.it is reporting that Conte is looking to bring the right-back to Stamford Bridge to bolster his Chelsea team.

The Old Lady will not sell Lichtsteiner to an Italian rival, so a sale to the Premier League could be an attractive option given his contract expires at the end of the season.

In addition, Chelsea could send Branislav Ivanovic in the opposite direction, as the Serbian is believed to be unhappy.
