Antonio Conte admits doubts over his future at Inter: ‘I don’t know what will happen outside, but we are focused on the season only.’

The Nerazzurri host Atalanta at the San Siro on Monday evening.

We must find the right balance, if everyone helps each other, we can snatch a good result, but the team that will attack better will win tomorrow,” Conte said at a press conference.

“It will be a difficult game. Atalanta create trouble for everyone. They have self-esteem and have a deep squad.

“Gasperini is doing an extraordinary job. We studied Atalanta. We face them for the fourth time since I arrived. We must be resilient when difficulties come.

We must be proud. We have always given more than one hundred per cent, leaving everything on the field for this glorious club.

“My teams always play to win, whether they are the favourites or not. It was my goal in my first season with Juventus and Chelsea, but only one team wins in the end.”

Is Conte already thinking about extending his contract with the Nerazzurri at the end of the season?

“I have one year left in my contract, but we must not be distracted by other things. We have to stay focused and think about the present, from here until the end of the season. I don't know and I can't imagine what will happen outside. We found ourselves in this situation."

Suning had admitted they are looking for suitable partners to support Inter financially and are reportedly considering an offer from Fortress.

“I understand you want to talk about something else, but we must only focus on the season to bring Inter where we belong. We must be ferocious under this aspect," Conte added.

Conte ended the press conference paying tribute to Claudio Segagni, a former translator who died suddenly yesterday and had worked for Milan, Inter, Roma and Juventus.

“It’s very sad. We are talking about a person who was younger than me.

“He worked for so many coaches, also here at Inter. I send my condolences to his family.”
