Antonio Conte has been linked with replacing Massimiliano Allegri in 2024, but the Tuscan tactician has yet to decide on his future in Turin: here’s all you need to know about the potential next revolution at Juventus.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports Allegri is considering leaving Juventus at the end of the season as he feels the club have changed too much following Andrea Agnelli’s resignation a year ago. The former Bianconeri president is a close friend of Allegri and re-hired the Livorno-born coach in 2021 when Max signed a four-year deal replacing Andrea Pirlo.

Allegri hasn’t recently discussed his long-term future at the club with the media, nor has he suggested that he will leave the Allianz Stadium with a year remaining in his contract.

So, why are there growing rumours about his departure in June? And why has Conte been linked with replacing Allegri?

Contrary to Max, Conte has been quite talkative about his future lately. During two of his latest public appearances, an interview with the TV program Belve, and a meeting with students of the Università del Salento, Conte hinted that he’d love to return to Juventus one day.

Moreover, he recently met Juventus Chief Football Officer Francesco Calvo at Vinovo Training Centre at the beginning of November. Conte had been invited by his friend and former teammate Paolo Montero, coach of the Primavera team.

Several sources in Italy, including Il Corriere dello Sport, claim Allegri and his staff members were surprised – not to say annoyed – to see Conte at Vinovo, which used to be the training centre of the first team and is now being used by teams of the youth sector.

As per Il Corriere dello Sport, this is one of the reasons why Allegri is considering his future in Turin, although he has yet to make a decision on his future at the club.

Conte is expected to return on the bench next summer, more than a year after leaving Tottenham by mutual agreement. The Italian tactician spoke to Napoli to potentially replace Rudi Garcia in October but opted not to join the Partenopei waiting for a new club next summer when Juventus will naturally become his priority.

Conte’s ex-teammate Fabrizio Ravanelli has recently spoken about the future of the 54-year-old saying that he will “soon” return on the bench, but he smiled when adding that he doesn’t know “if it will be at Juventus.”
