Antonio Conte is still expected to call up a number of new faces to his Italy squad for Euro 2016 qualification, including Graziano Pelle and Daniele Rugani.

Saturday evening will see the CT name his second Azzurri squad, for Euro 2016 qualifiers with Azerbaijan and Malta.

On from opening their qualification campaign with victory in Norway, the team face Azerbaijan at Palermo’s Renzo Barbera on October 10, before three days later playing away to Malta at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium.

For this double-header, speculation has been that Conte is considering introducing a number of new and returning names to the set-up.

The Gazzetta dello Sport today reiterate that among those is expected to be Southampton’s in-form striker Pelle and that in attack he will be supported by Simone Zaza, Ciro Immobile, Mattia Destro and Dani Osvaldo.

With no space now seen open to Mario Balotelli, this squad may also include Sebastian Giovinco or Fabio Quagliarella.

Daniele Rugani’s exclusion from the Under-21 squad is seen as a guarantee he will be included in the senior set-up and that it will be ahead of Daniele Gastaldello.

Thiago Motta’s recent form for Paris Saint-Germain will apparently see him afforded a first opportunity under the new Coach, whilst Sampdoria’s Roberto Soriano is still in contention for a place in the midfield too.
