Milan, Inter, Napoli and Juventus could meet some familiar faces in the Champions League group stage, including Tottenham boss Antonio Conte and Giovanni Simeone’s dad Diego.

The Champions League group stage draw takes place in Nyon today at 17.00 UK time. You can follow it live on the Football Italia liveblog.

Serie A champions Milan are in pot 1, Juventus are in pot 2, while Inter and Napoli are among the most challenging sides in pot 3.

The Partenopei have unveiled their new signing Giovanni Simeone today and the striker could cross paths with his father in the Champions League group stage.

Atletico Madrid are in pot 2, so they can be drawn with Napoli.

“It’s not important to think about who we can cross, let’s wait for the draw, it will be important to think about Fiorentina,” Giovanni Simeone said today.

Likewise, former Inter coach Antonio Conte could meet the Nerazzurri as Spurs are also in pot 2 along with Juventus.

The Bianconeri could meet Matthijs de Ligt’s Bayern Munich (pot 1), while Marseille are in pot 4 and could reunite with their ex-striker Arek Milik who is expected to undergo his medical with the Serie A giants today.

Milan can’t face Gigio Donnarumma’s PSG as the Ligue 1 giants are also in pot 1, being domestic champions. However, Franck Kessié will return to San Siro if the Rossoneri get the Catalans as their opponents from pot 2.
