Antonio Conte ensures his surgery ‘went well’ and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Italian tactician could return to the touchline against Leicester City next week or against Milan at San Siro on February 14.

Tottenham confirmed their coach needed surgery on Wednesday after being diagnosed with cholecystitis

The former Italy international provided an update on his health on his Instagram stories on Wednesday evening.

“Thank you for your lovely messages, my surgery has gone well and I’m already feeling better,” said the Italian.

“Now it’s time to recover, I can’t wait to get back on the field with my team.”

So, when could it be?

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Conte won’t be on the bench against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Sunday, with his assistant Cristian Stellini replacing the ex-Italian midfielder.

Gabriele Marcotti, reporting from London, quotes English medical sources saying that it usually takes from two to six weeks to recover from these sorts of operations.

Conte is in good shape, so he could be back for the away Premier League match against Leicester City on Saturday, February 11 or for the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Milan at San Siro three days later.
