Antonio Conte refused to discuss Tanguy Ndombele status at Tottenham, with the Frenchman linked with a move to Roma.

Josoé Mourinho is a long time admirer of the former Lyon midfielder who is not in Antonio Conte’s plans.

However, Ndombele’s salary is too high for the Giallorossi who can afford his signing only if Spurs pay a part of the midfielder’s wages.

Conte was asked if Ndombele will ever play again for Spurs, but the former Juventus and Inter coach failed to provide an exhaustive answer.

“Honestly, I prefer to speak about this topic always with the club,” he said.

During his press conference ahead of Spurs’ Premier League clash with Chelsea, Conte also discussed Tottenham’s comeback against Leicester City.

The Italian tactician is still unbeaten in Premier League games with the North Londoners.

“For sure we have to continue in this way because in these two last games we showed a great resilience, great will, a great desire to fight until the end, to believe you can win until the end and this is very important for the mentality, for the belief of the players, for what we are doing in this period, for the work we are doing together.

“In the last game against Leicester, my players weren’t satisfied about the draw, they wanted to play very quickly with only one minute to go. It was important for me, it was important for the fans, it was important for the club, to see this desire of the player to want to win until the end.”
