Antonio Conte regrets leaving Juventus and reveals he rejected an offer from the Saudi Arabia national team but would like to coach Napoli or Roma one day.

The former Juventus and Inter boss, a four-time Serie A winner, has released an interview with Rai TV program Belve which will be aired on Tuesday, October 17.

Italian media, including Il Corriere della Sera, have published some quotes from his interview. When asked which club he has regretted leaving, Conte replied: “Juventus after three years. I saw big problems in small things, so I decided to go.”

Conte had led the Bianconeri to three consecutive Serie A titles between 2011 and 2014, the first ones for the club after the Calciopoli scandal in 2006.

The Italian tactician has recently held talks with Napoli, but rejected the Partenopei’s offer to replace under-fire Rudi Garcia. However, he admitted he’d like to coach the Azzurri or Roma one day.

“Those are two clubs that I’d like to try for the passion fans have,” he said.

“I hope one day I’ll have a chance to live this experience.

“I don’t take jobs during the season because there are situations that have been created before I arrived,” he confirmed.

Conte was also asked his thoughts on Roberto Mancini’s appointment as Saudi Arabia’s national team coach: “I don’t want to discuss this, but Saudi Arabia had made offers to Mancini and other coaches, including myself, but I refused it,” he revealed.

Speaking about the many arguments with José Mourinho, Conte revealed that he once told the Special One: “I’ll see you in my office.”

When the presenter asked for more details, Conte commented: “I come from the street, never forget it.”
