Antonio Conte watched on TV his Tottenham side beat Manchester City and sent a message to his players on social media.

The Italian tactician underwent surgery earlier this week, so his assistant Cristian Stellini led Spurs in their 1-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Sunday.

Harry Kane’s goal at minute 15 helped Spurs secure all three points in North London and Conte reacted to his men’s victory on social media.

“Always with You, even from afar. Proud of the whole Team,” wrote the ex-Inter and Juventus coach on Instagram, posting a picture of Tottenham players celebrating.

Tottenham are in the race for a Champions League placement in the Premier League, being one point below fourth-placed Newcastle United although with a game in hand.

In less than two weeks, Conte’s Tottenham will face Milan in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 and the Italian tactician could be back in the dug-out at San Siro.
