Antonio Conte believes that the Serie A title race will already begin to ‘stretch out’ before the end of the first half of the season, and predicts that the league table will change a few times over before the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

The Partenopei are currently the outright leaders in Serie A on 29 points after 13 matches, but four other teams in Atalanta, Inter, Fiorentina and Lazio are all just one point behind them, while Juventus, in sixth, are four points off the lead.

Napoli will travel to Torino on Sunday, before facing a double header against Lazio in the Coppa Italia and Serie A over the next week.

Conte predicts changes to Serie A title race

Though Napoli have only lost twice all season, Conte believes that there are plenty of changes to the Serie A title race in store before the end of the 2024-25 season.

Conte also predicts that there will be major changes to the title race before the endo fthe calendar year.

“We have to be realistic and recognise that we are only 13 games into the season, and there are six teams within a few points of us. It’s a really balanced division so far, I don’t think it will stay that way until the end in my opinionm,” he said in his pre-match press conference, reported via TMW

“It will already start to stretch out a bit before the end of the first half of the season, but we are happy. It shows that we are working well and we continue to lay important foundations day by day.

“I see continuous growth as a team, but also as individuals. The squad has grown a lot in terms of individual levels compared to pre-season. Credit has to go to the guys who want to improve.”
