Antonio Conte praises Tottenham winger Son: ‘If I have to find a husband for my daughter, I’d like him to be a person like him.’
The Italian tactician had a strong start to the season with Spurs, having collected ten points in the opening four league matches. They beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 away on Sunday, thanks to a brace of Harry Kane.
Son, 30, has yet to find the net in Premier League games this season, but Conte still praised the South Korea international after the match.
“Sonny is a really sensible player, he is really sensible. Is a top man, a really good guy. For example, if I have to find a husband for my daughter, I’d like him to be a person like him,” he said at a post-match press conference.
“Sometimes it’s good, but at the same time, he is so sensible that, at this moment, he is suffering a lot that he is not scoring.”
Conte signed an 18-month deal with Tottenham in November 2021, so his deal in North Lond runs out this coming June.
