Italy CT Antonio Conte confirms Andrea Pirlo “won’t make the game” against Norway tomorrow.
The New York City FC midfielder picked up a hip injury during training last week, and missed the qualifier with Azerbaijan.
“Pirlo trained today, even if it wasn’t with the group,” Conte told Sky.
“He’s already started doing changes of direction, the problem is that it would be too big a risk and he won’t make the game.

“It’s not the best thing to play again after three days, it’s not easy but I think I’ll find the right solution to continue the growth process.
“I think the team should be judged in part on results, but more on the work that’s being done.”
