Antonio Conte’s brother mocked Simone Inzaghi and Inter after they failed to match the Serie A points record. ‘It’s not for everyone…’

The Nerazzurri were on track to not just equal the record of 102 points this season, but even to beat it and reach 103.

However, the 2-2 draw with Cagliari at San Siro last night means that the maximum tally they could reach in the 2023-24 campaign is 101 points.

Inzaghi did not seem too upset at the prospect of missing out, but one person who definitely noticed was Daniele Conte.

The brother of former Inter and Juventus coach Antonio Conte posted on Instagram images of the celebrations from that record-breaking Scudetto success of 102 points earned with Juventus in 2013-14.

“102 points! There are those who read history… and those who write it! It’s not for everyone…”

This will be Inzaghi’s first Serie A title and he took the Inter job in the summer of 2021, when Conte walked away protesting that the club could not provide reinforcements on the transfer market.

Conte had 102 games on the Inter bench in all competition, earning 64 victories, 23 draws and 15 defeats for a total 215 points, averaging 2,11 points per game.

Simone Inzaghi has 152 matches for Inter so far, winning 101, drawing 26 and losing 25.

He amassed 329 points for an average of 2.16 points per game.
