Antonio Conte has the chance to get the edge over Jürgen Klopp in Tottenham’s Premier League match against Liverpool this afternoon.

The North London side, who have recently been dealing with a serious outbreak of COVID in their ranks, are desperate for the three points today as they look to get involved in the fight for European qualification.

Klopp’s side, on the other hand, are looking to keep up the pressure on league leaders Manchester City, who face a struggling Newcastle United earlier in the afternoon.

Conte’s first meeting with Klopp came in September 2016, when his Chelsea side lost 2-1 at home to Liverpool. The second match between the two sides that campaign ended in a 1-1 draw at Anfield. Neither result was enough to derail the Blues’ successful title run.

The following season, the Italian coach again oversaw a 1-1 draw against the Reds at Anfield, but the return match at Stamford Bridge finally saw him pick up the full three points over Klopp, winning 1-0 at home.

With the pair having a balanced history against each other, today’s match gives both coaches the chance to take the edge over the other.

  1. Why am I reading Premiership news on FOOTBALL ITALIA which is supposed to be solely for Italian football?

The editor and reporters need to understand this site is ONLY Italian football.

  2. @ Gee

Correct! I’ve posted numerous times here commenting on articles FI publish that have little to no bearing on Italian football. And of course we won’t have the journalist’s posting these articles respond back to us in these comments section.

So FI, why are you posting a pointless article?

  3. Conte is a big name in Italian football, its only right we get news about him and other Italians abroad.. To be fair to Football Italia they also give reports on dezerbi, ancelotti and even strammcioni, the only one I can’t stand is CR7 news
