It is still not entirely clear how much Antonio Conte will exactly earn at Napoli, but the Italian tactician will surely become the highest-paid coach in Serie A when he signs for the Partenopei.

Multiple sources in Italy claim Conte will become the new Napoli coach in 2024-25 and some media claim the agreement between the Partenopei and the four-time Scudetto winner is done and sealed.

Gazzetta, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport report that the two parties must fix the final details, but they all say that Conte’s salary will be between €8m and €9m per season, bonuses included.

According to Gazzetta, Conte has already received a draft of his Napoli contract, which he is scrutinising with his agents and lawyers.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis has given the green light to Manna, the new club director. According to Gazzetta, the only detail missing is whether Conte will sign a two-year deal with an option for a further season or a three-year contract. Image rights have to be discussed too, but all media expect Conte to be announced as the new Napoli coach this week.

The Italian tactician will become the highest-paid coach in Serie A, more than Inter’s Simone Inzaghi, who currently gets €5.5m per season plus bonuses.

Inzaghi will meet new owners Oaktree on Tuesday and will probably be offered a new two-year contract.
