Conte forgets legendary Juventus choke after Tottenham crumble

Tottenham Hotspur had a blackout in their 4-2 defeat to Manchester City, but so did Antonio Conte, who falsely claimed it was ‘the first time in my career one of my teams’ conceded four goals in the second half.

Spurs had been leading 2-0 at the Etihad in the Premier League this evening, including a goal from former Juventus player Dejan Kulusevski.

However, it was a totally different match after the break and Manchester City came back to turn it around for a final 4-2 result.

Conte was still clearly upset at the outcome when holding his post-match press conference and evidently had a memory blackout when making this claim.

“Four goals in the second half, it’s the first time in my career one of my teams has done this,” said the Italian tactician.

That is not true, because Conte’s Juventus were famously leading 2-0 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in October 2013 only to fall apart to their arch-rivals.

Giuseppe Rossi scored a hat-trick to turn the game around, along with Joaquin to complete the 4-2 rout.
