Italian tactician Antonio Conte will remain at Tottenham Hotspur next season after crisis talks with director Fabio Paratici and a €150m budget for the transfer market, including Serie A targets.

Conte had kept fans on their toes going into the new campaign, having taken over on November 2, 2021 and famously complained on Sky Sport Italia that the team had been “weakened” during the January transfer window.

He managed a remarkable comeback up the Premier League standings to finish in fourth place and qualify for the Champions League.

According to multiple sources today including the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Sky Sport Italia and more, Conte had crisis talks with Paratici – who he had already worked with at Juventus – in Turin today and they came to an understanding.

The coach will continue at Spurs next season with reassurances of a €150m war-chest to use on the transfer market to reinforce his squad.

Among their targets are more Serie A players, including Inter centre-back Alessandro Bastoni and free agent Paulo Dybala, who was not offered a Juventus contract extension.

Ivan Perisic is also on their radar, although he has not yet decided whether to sign a new deal with Inter.

  1. ENIC may have made £150m available but I do hope that any sales will be added to the transfer budget? The sales of Ndombele, LoCelso, Gil, Bergwijn, Doherty, Winks, Sanchez and Emerson along with maybe one or two more could bring in a hefty amount.
Will that all be given to Conte to bring in who he wants???

  2. Conte bringing in the guys he can trust. Dybala though will be a Paratici move as I don’t see him having the toughness that Conte loves

  3. This good news and UK buying up Milan creates an even stronger bond between the 2 nations, I just got chills. Exciting days ahead.

  4. Why we keep seeing Conte news? if FI do cover italians coach abroad, why we don’t /rarely hear any Ancelotti news or any other coach?

  5. The former Juve pair boosts EPL’s confidence in Serie A players.
But Bastoni? No no no. He is not reliable in critical games, repeating same mistakes. It’d be a good deal for Inter to offload Him at a good price.
