FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio confirmed Antonio Conte must decide if they sack Italy Under-21 Coach Gigi Di Biagio.

The Azzurrini boss is hanging by a thread after crashing out in the group stage of the European Under-21 Championship.

“Will Di Biagio be confirmed? We’ll talk it over with Conte first,” Tavecchio told reporters.

“He is the one responsible for all the levels of the Nazionale, so we await his indications before making a decision.

“Di Biagio’s contract expires on June 30, so we will make a decision soon.”

Di Biagio had been in charge of the Under-20 side from 2011 to 2013, then moved on to the Under-21 job in July 2013.
