Conte charged with misconduct

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been charged with misconduct by the English FA after he was sent off against Swansea City.

The Italian tactician has until December 5 to respond to the charge.

He can either pay a fine of £8,000 or contest it and perhaps be given a touchline ban.

The 48-year-old was sent to the stands by referee Neil Swarbrick and he fumed at what he claimed were Swansea time-wasting tactics.

“I apologise for this,” said Conte after watching the entire second half of their 1-0 win from a television screen in the dressing room.

“I was frustrated. For sure I made a mistake. During the game I suffer. With my players I suffer. It's a pity.”
